So, I tied to attach a footnote ( NOT a tablenote!), which would amount to a sidenote, to one entry, but the tablefootnote package is no use, I get the error: No counter 'Hfootnote' defined. Multiple footnotes require varying symbols to indicate which footnote belongs. \clear(double)page, h(), H from the float package, or \FloatBarrier from the picins package might help, too. Thus either do not use a footnote at the same page before the table, or place the table in \here' or \bottom' position. Now, do not panic - you will not need to learn LaTeX to use LyX. In the documentation of the tufte-book class it is written that:Īny \footnotes will automatically be converted to sidenotes. The asterisk is part of a group of symbols that are collectively used similarly. While the footnotes are set and (when hyperref is used) hyperlinked, they are not automatically adapted. I use the tufte-book class and I have a table inside it. With thanks you create the asterisk and with footnotemark1 you re-use the symbol used. Again, use footnotemark to install the symbol. It might be extremely simple to solve my problem, but I can't figure it out. Its the second link you need, because its about the thanks command. Use h (or H with the float package) to control where the float will appear, and footnotetext on the same page to put the footnote where you want it.
